Wecome to Dr. Deborah Rebeck Ash as the

new SEMFA Flute Choir Director!

Besides being a founding member of SEMFA, Dr. Deborah Rebeck Ash has conducted flute choirs at the University of Windsor, the University of Michigan Summer Camp and for ten years at Concordia University Flute Camp. An original member of the SEMFA Flute Choir on bass flute, she has been touring the world on alto flute with the International Flute Orchestra since 2007 and the Metropolitan Flute Orchestra (Boston) since 2012. She also performs with the Michigan Flute Orchestra, the Song of the Angels Flute Orchestra and the Daytona State College and Community Flute Choir when her schedule permits. She directed three handbell choirs at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Ann Arbor for 19 years, Westminster Flutes for over 30 years, and performed with the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra for 30 years (23 as principal). Dr. Ash currently conducts the Peace Jubilee Brass Band and teaches flute at Emerson School in Ann Arbor.

Spring Festival Dr. Tom Moore April 19, 2020


          SEMFA Spring Festival              Sunday, April 19, 2020           Time: 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    Dr. Tom Moore Lecture of        "50 Unknown Flutists" from the 19th century, followed by a Concert of music from that time period and ending with an Afterglow of French Pastries!  

   SEMFA Members $15.00      Non-members $20.00
