July 9, 2018 (rain date July 10) at 7:00 p.m.  The Macomb Chamber Music Society presents The Festival Flutes in concert at Wahbe Park, 24800 Jefferson in St. Clair Shores. Bring a lawn chair to this free event. 

July 9, 2018 at 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. (doors at 6:30 p.m.) join Quintet Cantabile (Robyn Myers, flute; Steven Landino, oboe;  Lillian Dean, clarinet; Walter Dean, bassoon; Arleigh Helfer, horn) and the Roenicke Duo (Kelly Roenicke, violin, and Darryl Roenicke, piano) for a program of works by American Composers, including Sousa, Ewazen, Gershwin, and more at the Troy Public Library. July 28, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at Pine Hill Congregational Church (4160 Middlebelt Rd., W. Bloomfield Twp., MI 48323) join artists from the group "Interwinds Detroit" including Shatanique Moore, flute; Phelan Young, bassoon; Dinah Biachi, horn; and Irene Steyman, piano for a program with works by Debussy, Lang, Bianchi, and more! Doors open for seating at 7:00 p.m. Free-will donations are accepted. 

July 29, 2018 at 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Crystal Conference Center (E Shore Dr., 2365, Frankfort, Michigan, 49635) the Winds of The Woods (a.k.a. The Grosse Ile Quintet) -Carole Scott (flute) Nancy Gruits (oboe), Lisa Dills (clarinet), Dianne Newberry, (French horn) and Heather Gladden (bassoon)- bring quintet magic to musical presentations near and far, including but not limited to: all types of special events, school assemblies, band instrument coaching, weddings, church service music, “Volunteering it Forward” in the community, and musicale soirees. Since their founding in 2016, this quintet --with nearly 200 years of combined solo, teaching and orchestral experience-- has been constantly twisting their musical kaleidoscope to find new and interactive ways to bring old wine in new bottles to the unsuspecting public. With arrangements of traditional folk music, movie themes, classical and pop genres, there are surprises at every turn, as well as tried and true favorites for your enjoyment. A free will donation will be used to "Pay it Forward" in the community.
